Revision of the Waste Framework Directive #2

On July 2023, the European Commission published a very important proposal for a revision of the Waste Framework Directive. After one year and some major developments brought by the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union, the proposal is expected to reach its final stage.

TESS GEIE welcomes the ambitious proposal lines brought by the EU institutions, above all: producer responsibility and the key role of the social economy.

TESS GEIE also wants to underline the high importance of refining and strengthening such proposals, so that the stage between theory and practice can be successfully completed and certain adverse effects avoided.
